The PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 is the first CS2 Major event that will take place from March 17 to 31 and the best betting tool is here to cover it. The event will be held at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark, and will showcase some of the best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams. The Format
The PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 is divided into three stages. The first two stages utilize the Swiss system, while the third stage is single elimination. The CS2 Major tournament features 16 teams in the Opening Stage. Each team plays against one another in a Swiss format, where matches are played by teams with the same record after the opening round. The opening matches are best-of-one (md1), while the rest are md3. The top eight teams advance to the Elimination Stage, and the remaining eight teams are eliminated.
During the Elimination Stage, the eight teams that made it through the Opening Stage are joined by eight teams who qualified directly for the second phase. This stage involves a new Swiss format, which begins with md1 series and progresses to md3 in the qualifying or elimination rounds. Following this, the top eight teams will qualify for the Playoff Stage. In the playoffs, the teams will face off in single-elimination md3 matches, meaning that there will be no top or bottom brackets.
Opening Stage
The tournament’s opening stage is currently in full swing, and as of the time of writing this review, two matches have already been completed. In the first match, Cloud9 claimed a narrow 13-10 victory against ECSTATIC, while in the second match, Eternal Fire secured a 13-6 win over The MongolZ.
On March 17th, six more matches are scheduled to take place as part of the opening stage of the tournament. The matches are: ENCE versus Imperial on Anubis map, Apeks versus paiN Gaming on Vertigo map, Heroic versus Lynn Vision, GamerLegion versus AMKAL ESPORTS, SAW versus KOI, and FURIA versus Legacy. This stage will continue from March 17th to March 20th, followed by the elimination stage and the playoffs.
